How Lower Briton Bay Cottages Association handles your information.
This site is for members of the Lower Briton Bay Cottages Association only. It isn't a commercial product, and we don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside the association.
What we keep, and why
We keep the information needed to run the association: your email address, which property you're associated with, your role (member, property admin, or board), and your dues and payment history. Board members use this to track who's paid, approve new members, and keep the property roster accurate. Nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing is sold.
Who can see what
Every member can see their own property's dues balance and payment history, and an association-wide summary of who's paid or still owing (by property, not by name or amount). Only current board members and your own property's admin can see more detail than that — payment method, dates, and contact information for the properties they're responsible for. A pending signup can't see any of this until approved.
Payments
Interac e-Transfers are recorded manually by the board from what arrives in the association's bank account — we don't see your banking details. If online card payments are ever added, they'll be processed by a third-party payment processor (Stripe); we don't store card numbers ourselves.
Documents you upload
Bylaws, minutes, contracts, and other documents the board uploads are visible to any logged-in member, so they can be reviewed before an AGM or as needed. Don't upload anything you wouldn't want other members to see.
